VPN for Apple TV: install it and connect your account
The Apple TV version of Ben's VPN is on the App Store page of the iPhone app. A purchase through the App Store on the TV needs no sign-in. You sign in to an existing account on the TV with a code from another device.

Install from the App Store
Open the App Store on the Apple TV and install Ben's VPN. The Apple TV must run tvOS 17 and newer.

Choose a purchase or a code
The left half of the first screen is for “Buy a subscription”. The right half has a code field under “Already have an account?”.

Press Connect
The main screen opens after the purchase or the sign-in. The Connect button on the server card starts the VPN.
Existing account: an 8-digit code, valid for 3 minutes
Open Account → Sign in on another device in Ben's VPN on your iPhone or any other device. The app shows an 8-digit code for 3 minutes. Enter it in the code field on the TV with the remote, then press Sign in.
Codes from a guest account do not work on the TV. If you used the phone app only as a guest, open Account → Link e-mail there. After that, get a new code for the TV.
Purchase through the App Store on the TV
“Buy a subscription” charges the Apple Account that the Apple TV uses. The purchase creates a new account for this TV without any sign-in.
Restore purchases on the first screen returns an earlier App Store subscription. The subscription must be paid with the same Apple Account as on the TV. You do not need to buy it again.
5 tiles under the server card
The row under the server card has 5 tiles: Location, Tunnel, Settings, Support and a sign-out tile.
Location opens Change Location with the Fastest and Previous tiles and a drop-down list of all locations. Choosing a location connects the TV at once. The Automatically connect when changing location option is ticked by default.

I already pay for Ben's VPN on my iPhone. Do I pay again for the TV?
No, you pay once per account, not per device. The iPhone app must not be a guest when you get the code. If you have never signed in there, open Account → Link e-mail first. Then enter the code from the iPhone on the TV.
The Apple TV says purchases are not available. What can I do?
Purchases are disabled in Settings → General → Restrictions on the Apple TV. Allow them there, or pay on our website and sign the TV in with a code.
Can I sign in with my e-mail on the Apple TV?
No, the Apple TV app has no e-mail sign-in. It accepts only an 8-digit code from a device where you are signed in.
How do I cancel an App Store subscription I bought on the TV?
You cancel it in the Apple settings, not on our website. On the Apple TV, open Settings → Users and Accounts → your account → Subscriptions. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
